Reproductive Grief Support

Our medical providers are trained and certified to respond to reproductive grief—whether from miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or infertility—with sensitivity and compassion.

Reproductive loss is very common. Did you know that 1 in 4 pregnancies ends in miscarriage? (Source) Or that 1 in 4 women have had an abortion by age 45? (Source) No matter the reason for the loss, grief often follows. But all too often, the hospital or clinic attending to these situations offers no formal emotional support or resources in their aftermath.

Grief after pregnancy loss and reproductive loss is underestimated – even ignored – in our culture. Yet 60% of bereaved parents experience depression, anxiety, and PTSD. (Source)

3W Medical for Women proudly partners with the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care to train and equip our medical providers to respond to reproductive grief—whether from miscarriage, stillbirth, abortion, or infertility—with sensitivity and compassion.

We acknowledge that reproductive grief is real grief. While we do not provide professional counseling, we can support you in the following ways:

  • with a Reproductive Grief Box containing comfort items for you to keep

  • by sharing healing resources and making referrals for additional support

  • by providing comfort, hope, and an emotionally aware response informed by our training and certification with the Institute of Reproductive Grief Care
