UX Designer - Contract

The UX Designer will provide website design and maintenance support to WAMS and its program, 3W Medical for Women, on a part-time, flexible contract basis. This role will focus on improving the usability, visual consistency, accessibility, and effectiveness of WAMS and 3W Medical for Women web properties.

Maintain and improve existing website pages while preserving the brand identity of WAMS and 3W Medical for Women.

Design or update web pages, landing pages, and campaign pages to support marketing, outreach, donor engagement, and patient-facing communications.

Apply strong user experience and visual design principles to improve clarity, navigation, readability, and audience engagement.

Ensure website content and design choices are accessible, mobile-friendly, and aligned with organizational goals.

Collaborate with WAMS staff and contractors to translate campaign, event, and communication needs into effective web updates.

Analyze website performance monthly and provide a summary report to the Marketing Project Manager.

Support annual user testing and research to evaluate and improve website performance.

Develop new websites as needed to support program expansion.
Attend monthly advancement team meetings.

Typical projects may include

Website page updates and refreshes

Website graphics placement, layout improvements, and content organization

Updates to patient-facing web pages for clarity and accessibility

Coordination with the graphic designer to ensure digital assets work well on the website

Time Commitment

Estimated time commitment: Maximum 10-15 hours per month. On a given month, based on scope of work, either party may request more or fewer hours than the agreed timeframe.
